On Wednesday 18 March, former rugby player and performance specialist Andrew Kalen Daish took over the Lifting Room to host a special performance focused workshop.
The workshop covered using constraints such as breathing techniques, removal of data and unpredictable timing methods (such as a number of songs) to get the most from your training no matter how long (or short) a session might be.
The group was encouraged to create their own individual workouts by identifying their movement strengths and weaknesses. The aim was to create a workout that allowed space for learning by working on a movement that needs improvement as well as the opportunity to build intensity by using a piece of equipment that you are comfortable to push yourself on.
This was the first of many workshops Lifting Room has planned for the coming year. See what the group got up to in the video below and look out for more workshops coming soon.
